Treating Spinal Stenosis in a 5 Day Process at Laser Spine Institute
With symptoms such as radiating back and hip pain, cramping, neck pain, shoulder pain, and loss of balance, spinal stenosis can be excruciating to live with on a daily basis. Needless to say, anyone with an advanced form of this affliction probably wants relief from their symptoms as soon as possible so that they can to return to the activities they love, be it gardening, fishing, golfing, working, or carefree family time.
It is possible to find relief from spinal stenosis, but some treatments for serious cases involve invasive open-back surgery. Even after open-back surgery, patients still face a long recovery involving lingering pain, physical therapy, and the possibility that the surgery didn’t work.
As a gentler and faster alternative to open back surgery, Laser Spine Institute offers minimally invasive, outpatient procedures that can be done in about an hour. Most of our patients notice improvement in their spinal stenosis symptoms almost immediately after laser surgery and often are able to take a long walk within a few hours of the procedure.
A main feature of LSI’s treatment of spinal stenosis and other conditions is our streamlined 5-Day Process which includes:
- Day One - complete physical, MRI and/or X-rays, EKG, and lab work
- Day Two - MRI discussion with surgeon and diagnostic injections (if needed)
- Day Three - anesthesia discussion and outpatient laser spine surgery procedure
- Day Four - evaluation, physical therapy, and post-operative visit
- Day Five - physical therapy and release from LSI
The patients at Laser Spine Institute are often amazed that they can be in and out of our facility in just five days. It is wonderful to see our spinal stenosis patients feeling better while they’re still here, and then reporting to us from home that their quality of life has improved tremendously.
If you would like to find out if you’re a candidate for laser spine surgery, contact LSI to receive a free MRI or CT scan review. We look forward to discussing options that can end your back pain.
